Surrounded...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

TODAY’S WORD:

In Daniel 3, three Hebrew teenagers were thrown into the fiery furnace because they wouldn’t bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden idol. Surrounded by intense fire, they should have died instantly. But the God who created fire and controls the universe, the fourth man, had the final say.

He was right there in the fire with them, surrounding them with His protection. You may feel like you’re in the fire today. Things have come against you. What’s surrounding you may look powerful, strong, insurmountable. The good news is, our God is all-powerful.

That sickness may look like the end, but when God says “live,” you’ll live. That addiction may seem permanent, thoughts tell you that you’re never going to break it. But God is saying, “You’re not staying in that fire.” That addiction is not how your story ends. The fourth man is about to show up, things are about to turn in your favor. What you thought was going to stop you is going to promote you instead. No matter what surrounds you, keep the right perspective. God has it surrounded.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for the gift of a new day. As I start this morning, I ask for Your peace to fill my heart and Your joy to guide my steps. Help me to approach each moment with a positive attitude and to see Your hand in all that I do. When challenges arise, remind me that You are with me, giving me the strength and wisdom I need. Thank You that when I am surrounded with challenges, I can stay in peace knowing that You are surrounding me. Thank You that You are with me in the fire whether I can see You or not. I know that You are greater than any force that comes against me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Reflecting Christ...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸŒΏπŸ’žπŸ•Š

What He (Jesus) taught, He lived. What He taught, He was. His words were the expression, not only of His own life experience, but of His own character. Not only did He teach the truth, but He was the truth. It was this that gave His teaching power. Reflecting Christ p. 16

No Room For Boasting....πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Isaiah 6:5.

Those who experience the sanctification of the Bible will manifest a spirit of humility. Like Moses, they have had a view of the awful majesty of holiness, and they see their own unworthiness in contrast with the purity and exalted perfection of the Infinite One.

The prophet Daniel was an example of true sanctification. His long life was filled up with noble service for his Master. He was a man “greatly beloved” of Heaven. Yet instead of claiming to be pure and holy, this honored prophet identified himself with the really sinful of Israel as he pleaded before God in behalf of his people: “We do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies.” “We have sinned, we have done wickedly.” He declares: “I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people.... “.

When Job heard the voice of the Lord out of the whirlwind, he exclaimed: “I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes”. It was when Isaiah saw the glory of the Lord, and heard the cherubim crying, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts,” that he cried out, “Woe is me! for I am undone”. Paul, after he was caught up into the third heaven and heard things which it was not possible for a man to utter, speaks of himself as “less than the least of all saints”. It was the beloved John, who leaned on Jesus’ breast and beheld His glory, that fell as one dead before the feet of the angel.

There can be no self-exaltation, no boastful claim to freedom from sin, on the part of those who walk in the shadow of Calvary's cross. They feel that it was their sin which caused the agony that broke the heart of the Son of God, and this thought will lead them to self-abasement. Those who live nearest to Jesus discern most clearly the frailty and sinfulness of humanity, and their only hope is in the merit of a crucified and risen Saviour.  -Maranatha

Preparation For Prayer...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

TODAY'S WORD:

The final editors of the book of Psalms appear to have grouped Psalms 93–100 together because of their consistent theme: the greatness of God over all creation (Psalm 95:3). Psalm 100 serves as a summary of the section, instructing the reader to “enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.”

Why is praise the proper introduction to prayer? Because praise recognizes that God is greater than everything, including what is happening in our life. When we come to God with our petitions and requests, if we have first spent time in praise of Him, we are prepared to receive from Him that which is His will. Praise says, “You are sovereign, O Lord, and You are good. Therefore, I can trust You with the concerns of my life. However You answer my prayers, I know that Your answers will be best for me.” Praise is the perfect way to prepare for prayer—the perfect way to acknowledge that God’s will is our greatest desire.

Practice incorporating praise into your prayer life and anticipate the peace that will result as you make your requests known to God (Philippians 4:6-7).

The best atmosphere for prayer is praise.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, I come before You with a heart full of praise and gratitude. You are the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Alfa and Omega. I praise You for Your awesome power, Your infinite wisdom, and Your unwavering love. Thank You for creating the universe, for sending Your Son to redeem me, and for the countless blessings You pour out on my life, each and every day. I thank You for Your faithfulness, Your provision, and Your guidance. You are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

Character: A Quality Of The Soul..πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

A character formed according to the divine likeness is the only treasure that we can take from this world to the next. Those who are under the instruction of Christ in this world will take every divine attainment with them to the heavenly mansions. And in heaven we are continually to improve.

Mental ability and genius are not character, for these are often possessed by those who have the very opposite of a good character. Reputation is not character. True character is a quality of the soul, revealing itself in the conduct.

A good character is a capital of more value than gold or silver. It is unaffected by panics or failures, and in that day when earthly possessions shall be swept away, it will bring rich returns. Integrity, firmness, and perseverance are qualities that all should seek earnestly to cultivate; for they clothe the possessor with a power which is irresistible—a power which makes him strong to do good, strong to resist evil, strong to bear adversity.

Strength of character consists of two things—power of will and power of self-control. Many youth mistake strong, uncontrolled passion for strength of character; but the truth is that he who is mastered by his passions is a weak man. The real greatness and nobility of the man is measured by his powers to subdue his feelings, not by the power of his feelings to subdue him. The strongest man is he who, while sensitive to abuse, will yet restrain passion and forgive his enemies.

Christ Comes As A Thief...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

The evil servant says in his heart, “My lord delayeth his coming.” He does not say that Christ will not come. He does not scoff at the idea of His second coming. But in his heart and by his actions and words he declares that the Lord's coming is delayed. He banishes from the minds of others the conviction that the Lord is coming quickly. His influence leads men to presumptuous, careless delay. They are confirmed in their worldliness and stupor. Earthly passions, corrupt thoughts, take possession of the mind. The evil servant eats and drinks with the drunken, unites with the world in pleasure seeking. He smites his fellow servants, accusing and condemning those who are faithful to their Master.

The advent of Christ will surprise the false teachers. They are saying, “Peace and safety.” Like the priests and teachers before the fall of Jerusalem, they look for the church to enjoy earthly prosperity and glory. The signs of the times they interpret as foreshadowing this. But what saith the Word of Inspiration? “Sudden destruction cometh upon them.”

Men are putting afar off the coming of the Lord. They laugh at warnings. The proud boast is made, “All things continue as they were from the beginning.” “Tomorrow shall be as this day and much more abundant.” 2 Peter 3:4; Isaiah 56:12. We will go deeper into pleasure loving. But Christ says, “Behold, I come as a thief.” Revelation 16:15. At the very time when the world is asking in scorn, “Where is the promise of his coming?” the signs are fulfilling. While they cry, “Peace and safety,” sudden destruction is coming. When the scorner, the rejecter of truth, has become presumptuous; when the routine of work in the various money-making lines is carried on without regard to principle; when the student is eagerly seeking knowledge of everything but his Bible, Christ comes as a thief.— The Faith I Live By p. 342

LOVE...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

From the Christian standpoint, love is power. Intellectual and spiritual strength are involved in this principle. Pure love has special efficacy to do good, and can do nothing but good. It prevents discord and misery and brings the truest happiness.

A man at peace with God and his fellow men cannot be made miserable. Envy will not be in his heart; evil surmising will find no room there; hatred cannot exist. The heart in harmony with God is lifted above the annoyances and trials of this life.

That which Satan plants in the heart—envy, jealousy, evil surmising, evil speaking, impatience, prejudice, selfishness, covetousness, and vanity—must be uprooted. If these evil things are allowed to remain in the soul, they will bear fruit by which many shall be defiled. Oh, how many cultivate the poisonous plants, that kill out the precious fruits of love and defile the soul!

Only the love that flows from the heart of Christ can heal. Only He in whom that love flows, even as the sap in the tree or the blood in the body, can restore the wounded soul.

Love's agencies have wonderful power, for they are divine. The soft answer that “turneth away wrath,” the love that “suffereth long, and is kind,” the charity that “covereth a multitude of sins”—would we learn the lesson, with what power for healing would our lives be gifted! How life would be transformed, and the earth become a very likeness and foretaste of heaven! — My Life Today p. 179

Don't Delay!...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

TODAY'S WORD:

There’s no time to waste.

We are living in the last days of Earth’s history. The three angels' messages in Revelation 14 are God's final call to a world in crisis. The first angel comes with the everlasting gospel—a message of love, judgment, and warning. He calls us to worship our Creator and turn away from the confusion of false teachings.

The Bible says, “Now is the time to awake out of sleep” (Romans 13:11). Jesus is coming soon—not in secret, but in power and glory for all to see (Revelation 1:7). There will be no second chance after He comes. That’s why the time to choose Jesus is now.

Don’t wait to get serious about your walk with God. Don’t delay sharing His love with others. Every day is a chance to shine His light in a dark world and to prepare for His soon return. Jesus wants to save everyone—but He won’t force anyone. The door of mercy is open today. Will you walk through it?

Let your life preach the gospel. Speak truth in love. And live every day as if Jesus were coming tomorrow—because one day, He will.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for this beautiful and blessed day. I know that Jesus is coming again soon. Help me to be ready—not just in words, but in how I live. Use me to share the everlasting gospel with those around me. Please wake up those who are still sleeping spiritually, and help them to hear Your call before it’s too late. I long to see You face to face. Keep me faithful until that day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

FLYING BLIND...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ•ŠπŸ’ž

On November 8, 2008, Jim O’Neill, age 65, was flying alone in his Cessna at 5,500 feet over North Yorkshire, England, when he suddenly was unable to see his controls. Believing he was being blinded by the sunlight, O’Neill frantically radioed a mayday alert. Air traffic controllers did their best to guide him in to the nearest airfield, but when O’Neill was unable to see even the large runway, the controllers realized that it was not simply a matter of being dazzled by the sun.

Thankfully, a military training plane was already in the air nearby. After reassuring O’Neill, Gerrard used a series of very carefully chosen words to guide him: “Turn left, a little right, reduce power, 10 percent flaps.”

The Royal Air Force pilot guided the disabled aircraft down towards an R.A.F. airfield, with O’Neill feeling for and finding the various controls from memory.

At the hospital, doctors discovered that O’Neill had suffered a stroke that put pressure on his optic nerve, rendering him blind. After medical treatment, most of Jim O’Neill’s eyesight returned. The R.A.F. remarked that they are used to “shepherding” lost airplanes—but this was the only time they had shepherded a blind one!

Friends, it wasn’t until the air traffic controllers realized the extent of O’Neill’s blindness that they were able to help him effectively. Jesus told the Pharisees that if they recognized their blindness they could be helped, but because they claimed to see when they couldn’t, their sin remained. We must recognize that without the Word of God to guide us, we are all flying blind! When we admit our need, God is ready to help us, and He promises to help each of us land safely: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye” (Psalm 32:8) -AF

God Wants Our Whole Heart...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

Today’s Word:

Amaziah, king of Judah, had a promising start. Scripture tells us he "did what was right in the eyes of the Lord," and that sounds like a good report. But then comes the catch — “but not wholeheartedly.”

This is a sobering reminder that *God isn’t just looking for right actions — He’s looking for right hearts*. It’s possible to obey outwardly while being distant inwardly. We can serve in ministry, tithe, attend church, avoid "big sins" — and still be doing it all from a place of obligation, pride, fear, or routine rather than love and surrender.

Amaziah's story goes on to show how his half-heartedness led to pride, idolatry, and ultimately, his downfall. His lack of wholehearted devotion opened the door to compromise. He obeyed some of the way, some of the time. But *partial obedience is still disobedience in God's eyes*.

Can we be saved this way? Salvation is by grace, not works — but real faith shows up in a surrendered heart. God wants more than behavior; He wants love, trust, and devotion.

Today, don’t settle for doing just enough. *God is worthy of all of you*. When your heart is fully His, your life will follow.

Today’s Prayer:

Father, thank You for this beautiful and blessed day. Father, I don't want to serve You half-heartedly. Cleanse me of divided motives. Give me a heart that seeks You fully — not out of fear or routine, but out of love and trust. I surrender all I am to You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A River...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater Isaiah 55:10 KJV

Jesus gives us living water. The Bible is like a river of life, and everything lives whenever His Word is preached. If you have the spirit in your life, your mind, your heart becomes like a river of life. God wants that river to flow through us to reach others.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim-Joel 3:18 KJV

A Heart Of Wisdom...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

TODAY’S WORD:

If we truly understood how fleeting life is—how each breath is a gift—we would live differently. We wouldn’t waste time holding grudges or letting petty annoyances build walls between us and the people we love. That little quirk your spouse has? You’d smile at it instead of sigh. You’d count it among the things that make them beautifully human. You’d embrace another day beside them with gratitude.

We wouldn't drag ourselves to work with complaints on our lips. Instead, we’d thank God for the job, for the boss we have—flawed as they might be—and for the provision of purpose and a paycheck. Some people are praying for what you now take for granted.

A heart of wisdom puts things into perspective. It remembers that someone somewhere is lying in a hospital bed praying for one more chance. Someone else is grieving a loved one they can no longer call. Someone is jobless, lonely, or burdened beyond what words can express. When you number your days, you stop wasting them. You start living fully, intentionally, and thankfully.

Life is precious because it’s seasonal. Don’t let the temporary steal the beauty of today. *Your life may not be perfect, but your God is—and He’s already in your tomorrow, turning detours into direction.* So pause. Breathe. Laugh. Love. Forgive. Hug your family a little tighter. Say “thank you” more often. Celebrate small victories. Number your days, and live with a heart tuned to eternity.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for this beautiful and blessed day. Help me to live it with joy, gratitude, and purpose. Teach me to number my days and focus on what truly matters. Thank You for being with me, guiding me, and working all things for my good. I choose peace over frustration and faith over fear. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Counterfeits...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

The people of God are directed to the Scriptures as their safeguard against the influence of false teachers and the delusive power of spirits of darkness. Satan employs every possible device to prevent men from obtaining a knowledge of the Bible; for its plain utterances reveal his deceptions. At every revival of God's work the prince of evil is aroused to more intense activity; he is now putting forth his utmost efforts for a final struggle against Christ and His followers. The last great delusion is soon to open before us. Antichrist is to perform his marvelous works in our sight. So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures. By their testimony every statement and every miracle must be tested....

The man who makes the working of miracles the test of his faith will find that Satan can, through a species of deceptions, perform wonders that will appears to be genuine miracles.

Satan is a cunning worker, and he will bring in subtle fallacies to darken and confuse the mind and root out the doctrines of salvation. Those who do not accept the Word of God just as it reads, will be snared in his trap.

Evil angels are upon our track every moment.... They assume new ground and work marvels and miracles in our sight....

Some will be tempted to receive these wonders as from God. The sick will be healed before us. Miracles will be performed in our sight. Are we prepared for the trial which awaits us when the lying wonders of Satan shall be more fully exhibited? Will not many souls be ensnared and taken? By departing from the plain precepts and commandments of God, and giving heed to fables, the minds of many are preparing to receive these lying wonders. We must all now seek to arm ourselves for the contest in which we must soon engage. Faith in God's word, prayerfully studied and practically applied, will be our shield from Satan's power and will bring us off conquerors through the blood of Christ-Maranatha

He Will Never Leave You...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

TODAY’S WORD:

When God told the prophet Jonah to go preach to the city of Nineveh, he disobeyed, got on a boat, and went in the opposite direction. You would think God would say, “I would have gone before you if you went to Nineveh, but now you’re on your own.” But God doesn’t abandon us when we make mistakes. He had a big fish ready to swallow him and spare his life when the sailors threw him overboard to calm the storm. God had already gone before Jonah…in the wrong direction.

How many times has God in His mercy gone before us in the wrong direction. When we got ourselves in trouble, it was nobody’s fault but our own, but God was there to help get us out. You’re not on your own. You’re not doing life by yourself. The Creator of the universe is going before you. You can lie down at night in peace, knowing that God has you covered, even when you make mistakes. He’s going to be there to restore you, to help you get back on the best path.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for this beautiful morning. I come to You in prayer, asking for the type of focus that only You can provide in this busy world. Help me to focus on the greatness of You and the life You have planned for me. Thank You that You are always going before me and You’re always with me even when I mess up and go in the wrong direction. Thank You that You are so merciful to not leave me on my own. I believe that You are going to be there to keep me on the best path. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Beware Of Man-Made Tests...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ•ŠπŸ’ž

There are those who need in their hearts the touch of the divine Spirit. Then the message for this time will be their burden. They will not search for human tests, for something new and strange. The Sabbath of the fourth commandment is the test for this time.

The commandment of God that has been almost universally made void, is the testing truth for this time.... The time is coming when all those who worship God will be distinguished by this sign. They will be known as the servants of God, by this mark of their allegiance to Heaven. But all man-made tests will divert the mind from the great and important doctrines that constitute the present truth.

It is the desire and plan of Satan to bring in among us those who will go to great extremes—people of narrow minds, who are critical and sharp, and very tenacious in holding their own conceptions of what the truth means. They will be exacting, and will seek to enforce rigorous duties, and go to great lengths in matters of minor importance, while they neglect the weightier matters of the law—judgment and mercy and the love of God. Through the work of a few of this class of persons, the whole body of Sabbathkeepers will be designated as bigoted ... and fanatical....

God has a special work for the men of experience to do. They are to guard the cause of God. They are to see that the work of God is not committed to men who feel it their privilege to move out on their own independent judgment, to preach whatever they please, and to be responsible to no one for their instructions or work. Let this spirit of self-sufficiency once rule in our midst, and there will be no harmony of action, no unity of spirit, no safety for the work, and no healthful growth in the cause.... Christ prayed that His followers might be one as He and the Father were one. Those who desire to see this prayer answered, should seek to discourage the slightest tendency to division, and try to keep the spirit of unity and love among brethren-Maranatha
