Reflecting Christ Love And Character...🙏🌿🌼💞🕊

Nothing can perfect a perfect unity in the church but the spirit of Christlike forbearance. Satan can sow discord; Christ alone can harmonize the disagreeing elements.... When you as individual workers of the church love God supremely and your neighbor as yourself, then there will be no labored efforts to be in unity, there will be oneness in Christ, the ears to report will be closed, and no one will take up a reproach against his neighbor. The members of the church will cherish love and unity and be as one great family. Then we shall bear the credentials to the world that will testify that God has sent His Son into the world. Christ has said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”—Letter 29, 1889. [201]

Only Light Can Dispel Darkness...🙏🌿🌼💞🕊

When Christ came into the world, darkness covered the earth and gross darkness the people. The living oracles of God were fast becoming a dead letter. The still, small voice of God was heard only at times by the most devout worshiper; for it had become overpowered and silenced by the dogmas, maxims, and traditions of men.  

Truth looked down from heaven upon the children of men, but found no reflection of itself; for darkness covered the earth, and gross darkness the people. If the darkness of error that hid the glory of God from the view of men was to be dispelled, the light of truth must shine amid the moral darkness of the world. It was decreed in the councils of God that the only-begotten Son of God must leave His high command in heaven, and clothe His divinity with humanity, and come to the world. No outward splendor must attend His steps, save that of virtue, mercy, goodness, and truth; for He was to represent to the world the attributes of God’s character; but the world, unaccustomed to gaze upon truth, turned from the light to the darkness of error; for error was more to their perverted taste than truth (The Review and Herald, August 6, 1895).

Step Into The River...🙏🌿🌼💞🕊

TODAY'S WORD:

When Joshua and the Israelites came to the Jordan River, there was no way for them to get across. God told Joshua to have the priests who were carrying the Ark of the Covenant step into the river; then the waters of the Jordan would part. I can imagine the priests saying, “Joshua, what if it doesn’t.” But instead, they dared to step into the unknown, and in that moment, the water upstream began piling up. 

We say, “God, when You part the river, I’ll go.” God says, “Go, and I’ll part the river.” God purposefully puts us in situations where it looks impossible. When you don’t see how it can work out or where the funds are coming from, when every thought tells you to play it safe, if you’ll step into the unknown, along the way you’ll see miracles, doors will open that you couldn’t open, and the right people will show up. That’s when Jordan Rivers will part.

Circumstances can be painful. But even when situations seem overwhelming, believers can trust that our sovereign Lord knows all, is in control, and lovingly works everything for His children's good. We can rest confidently knowing that the unchanging God of all creation is taking care of us. Stay in faith - Your Jordan Rivers will part.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for your blessings. Help me to boldly step forward in faith knowing You are in control. I trust my future and my plans to You Father.  Thank You for the promise that You will part my Jordan Rivers. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Peace Only For The Humble...🙏🌿🌼💞🕊

Isaiah 57:15-19  These words in Isaiah, are addressed to those who, awake to their true situation and susceptible to the influence of the Spirit of God, humble themselves before God with contrite hearts. But to those who will not heed the reproof of God, who are determined and froward, and who set themselves to go on in their own way, God cannot speak peace. He cannot heal them; for they will not acknowledge that they need healing. He declares their true condition, “The wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt” (Letter 106, 1896).
