Finishing The Race...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

TODAY'S WORD:

Regularly, we see reports of a heroic finish by a competitor in a long-distance running event. Dehydrated, some have collapsed and completed their race by crawling across the finish line. Sometimes a fellow competitor gives up his or her own chance of winning by helping a faltering runner—or a parent or friend comes down from the stands to assist. And in marathons, a parent is often seen pushing a cart carrying a disabled child who wanted to compete. In all these cases, these competitors are not heroes because they won but because they finished.

Finishing the race is the image of the Christian life as presented in the New Testament—with endurance and perseverance being the traits called for. We are not running anyone else’s race; we are running “the race that is set before us.” Since every race is different and unique, to finish is to win the race God has set before us individually.

Look at this day as one step in your race to glory, fueled by endurance and perseverance.

Beginning well is a momentary thing; finishing well is eternal life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy. Help me to live a life worthy of You and to grow in my knowledge of You. Strengthen me with Your power and might so that I have endurance, patience, and joy. Teach me to love You above all else, and cause me to want You. Direct my heart into the love of Jesus. As I run the race You have set before me, help me to keep my eyes on Your goals, and not my own. Help me to have the daring faith that You can do anything if I will trust You. In Jesus' precious Name. Amen.

Adam, Where Are You?...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

Today’s Word:

When God asked Adam, “Where are you?” it was not because He was confused or unable to find him. God is omniscient. He sees everything. He knows every hidden thought, every struggle, every mistake. His question was an invitation—an opening of His heart—saying, “Come out of hiding. I still want you.”

Adam had just fallen. Shame covered him. Fear ruled him. He ran from the One who had always been his Friend. Yet God pursued him. God stepped into the garden, walked toward the broken man, and called his name with tenderness, not accusation.

And today, He is calling *you* the same way.

Maybe you feel far from God. Maybe sin has wrapped around your life like thick vines. Maybe you think you’ve gone too far, failed too deeply, or disappointed God too many times. Maybe addiction has taken hold, and you feel stuck, embarrassed, or hopeless. But hear this clearly: You are not beyond His reach. You are not too stained for His mercy. You are not too lost for His grace. His voice comes softly: “My child, where are you? Why stay hidden? Come back to Me.”

Nothing you’ve done is stronger than the love that is chasing after you.

Today's Prayer:

Father, thank You for this beautiful and blessed day. Thank You for calling me even when I hide in fear or shame. Remind me that You are still pursuing me—not to expose me, but to restore me; not to condemn me, but to cover me; not to push me away, but to pull me close. Help me trust Your love more than my failures. Draw my heart back to You and keep me in Your light. Amen.

There's No Blessing In Pretending...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

Today’s Word:

It's easy to go through life wearing masks, acting one way for our boss, one way for our friends, and another way for our spouse. Because we're not secure in who we are, we feel a need to impress, to prove something to people, so we pretend and hide behind personal masks.

Oftentimes it's the mask of pride. I don't have any issues. I don't need any help. But God will not bless who you pretend to be. God blesses people who are real, people who are honest enough to say, God, I have this bad habit. I'm struggling with my temper. I need Your help, so I'm taking off the mask.

When you're honest, you open the door for God to come in and change things. The apostle Paul said that love flows from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. It's time to take off that mask and be honest. When you get down to the real you, that's when God can turn things around.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions...  Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest...  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You for the goodness in my life. When I wake each morning, I praise Your name! You have given me life that is filled with beauty, and the breath in my lungs is a gift from You. My blessings are many and my heart is filled with gratefulness for the gift of living, for the ability to love and be loved, for the opportunity to see the everyday wonders of creation. Thank You that I don't have to hide my weaknesses or mask my shortcomings. Search my heart and show me where my motives are wrong and where I'm pretending. I humbly admit that I don't have it all together, and I'm glad You're still working on me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Good Shepherd...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

[1] The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. [3] He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. [5] Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever  -Psalm 23:1-6 KJV
