God’s Word United With Your Weakness...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌ

While you were once weak, now you are strong; where once you would have trembled and fallen, now you stand unmoved like a house built on a solid rock.

What is this unseen power? What is your new life? It is the life and power of God’s word united with your weakness. It is the life and power of God Himself, for God goes with His word “working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight.” “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”  You alone, without the Word in you, are like a house that is built on the sand. There is nothing to hold you up when the floods come and the winds blow. It is utterly impossible for you to withstand the tempest, for you do not have strength in yourself.  But even if you are the most helpless person who ever lived, God is willing to take you—if you will submit to Him—and work through you in the most marvelous manner by His mighty word. He loves to do it.

Now Is The Acceptable Time!...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌ

Christianity in the present tense takes you just where it finds you; and therefore you don’t need to wait or be discouraged. The Lord intends to save you and He cannot do this except by taking you just where you are now, and just where you are at each succeeding moment of your life. Each moment will become “now” as soon as you reach it. If He cannot save you in this way, He cannot save you at all. But He has assured you that He is able to save you, to the very uttermost, if you will look to Him.  Therefore the only thing to do is simply to look to Him now and believe now, without reference to your past failures or future hopes. The only starting point in the Christian life is “now;” the only point attainable is “now.” To live now is not for you to wish or resolve or anticipate now, but to believe and take. It is looking to Christ now. It is when you forget to live in the present moment, by not surrendering the moment to Jesus Christ for grace and strength, that you fail.

Dedicate Yourself to the Lord...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌ

Today’s Word:

We arrive at this day January 1st, every 365.25 days—the number of days it takes the earth to revolve around the sun. We call that period a year, and we call it New Year’s Day. January 1 is a marker, telling us that time is moving on. Perhaps the most sobering reminder it brings is that our days are decreasing in number.

When things become scarce, we tend to treat them more valuably. The fewer dollars we have, the more careful our spending. The same applies to time. If we approach the end of our life with limited years left, we should be careful about how we live. For the Christian, that means asking a primary question: How am I doing with God? The Christian life is based on the idea of growth. Just as a healthy plant grows taller and more fruitful over time, so should our spiritual life. January 1 is a great opportunity to assess how we are growing in God.

Give thought and prayer today to where you are and where you could be spiritually at the end of this new year.

The year is made up of minutes: Let these be watched as having been dedicated to God.

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You that You  make all things new.  Thank You for all that You've allowed into my life this past year. It reminded me of how much I need You daily. I pray that Your Spirit will lead me each step of this New Year. I ask that You will guide my decisions and turn my heart to deeply desire You above all else. Help me to pursue You first in everything. Thank You for calling me to follow You and Your direction in my life. In Jesus' precious Name, Amen.
