Faith For Every Season...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

Today’s Word:

Life has seasons—some heavy and painful, others quiet and full of waiting. True wisdom isn’t just knowing God can act; it’s discerning the season you’re in and trusting Him through it.

David knew this well. When his child was sick, he prayed and fasted with all his heart. But when his child died, he got up, washed, and worshiped God. He didn’t keep pleading for what was already decided. He trusted God’s plan and moved forward (2 Samuel 12:20). That kind of faith is hard—it knows when to pray, when to grieve, and when to rise even when answers aren’t clear.

Right now, some of us are praying desperately. Some feel worn out from waiting. Others are trying to trust again after being hurt. Whatever season you’re in, God sees you. Hold on to Him. Let His Word be your guide.

Today’s Prayer:

Father, thank You for this beautiful and blessed day. Father, You know the season of every heart. We live in a time that calls for clear eyes and awake hearts. Help us be rooted in Your Word, honest in prayer, and purposeful in living. Teach us when to pray, when to trust, and when to move forward with hope. Give us the strength to trust Your will, even when it hurts. Let our hope reach beyond today, and may our love shine while there’s still time. Help us live awake, faithful, and ready. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Perfection Of Character...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

“We cannot afford to let our spirits chafe over any real or supposed wrong done to ourselves. Self is the enemy we most need to fear. No form of vice has a more baleful effect upon the character than has human passion not under the control of the Holy Spirit. No other victory we can gain will be so precious as the victory gained over self. We should not allow our feelings to be easily wounded. We are to live, not to guard our feelings or our reputation, but to save souls. As we become interested in the salvation of souls, we cease to mind the little differences that so often arise in our association with one another. Whatever others may think of us, it need not disturb our oneness with Christ, the fellowship of the Spirit. “What glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.” [1 Peter 2:20.] – {Gospel Workers, p. 475.2}

Perfection Of Character...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48.

God will accept only those who are determined to aim high. He places every human agent under obligation to do his best. Moral perfection is required of all. Never should we lower the standard of righteousness in order to accommodate inherited and cultivated tendencies to wrongdoing. We need to understand that imperfection of character is sin. All righteous attributes of character dwell in God as a perfect, harmonious whole, and every one who receives Christ as a personal Saviour is privileged to possess these attributes.

And those who would be workers together with God must strive for perfection of every organ of the body and quality of the mind. True education is the preparation of the physical, mental, and moral powers for the performance of every duty; it is the training of body, mind, and soul for divine service. This is the education that will endure unto eternal life....

But Christ has given us no assurance that to attain perfection of character is an easy matter. A noble, all-around character is not inherited. It does not come to us by accident. A noble character is earned by individual effort through the merits and grace of Christ. God gives the talents, the powers of the mind; we form the character. It is formed by hard, stern battles with self. Conflict after conflict must be waged against hereditary tendencies. We shall have to criticize ourselves closely, and allow not one unfavorable trait to remain uncorrected.

Let no one say, I cannot remedy my defects of character.... The real difficulty arises from the corruption of an unsanctified heart and an unwillingness to submit to the control of God -Christ’s Object Lessons, 330, 331.

Subjection to the will of Christ means restoration to perfect manhood-The Ministry of Healing, 131.

Number Your Days...πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’žπŸ•Š

Today’s Word:

We arrive at this day every 365.25 days—the number of days it takes the earth to revolve around the sun. We call that period a year, and we call January 1 New Year’s Day. January 1 is a marker, telling us that time is moving on. Perhaps the most sobering reminder it brings is that our days are decreasing in number.

When things become scarce, we tend to treat them more valuably. The fewer dollars we have, the more careful our spending. The same applies to time. If we approach the end of our life with limited years left, we should be careful about how we live. For the Christian, that means asking a primary question: How am I doing with God? The Christian life is based on the idea of growth. Just as a healthy plant grows taller and more fruitful over time, so should our spiritual life. January 1 is a great opportunity to assess how we are growing in God.

Give thought and prayer today to where you are and where you could be spiritually at the end of this new year.

The year is made up of minutes: Let these be watched as having been dedicated to God.

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You that You  make all things new.  Thank You for all that You've allowed into my life this past year. It reminded me of how much I need You daily. I pray that Your Spirit will lead me each step of this New Year. I ask that You will guide my decisions and turn my heart to deeply desire You above all else. Help me to pursue You first in everything. Thank You for calling me to follow You and Your direction in my life. In Jesus' precious Name, Amen.
