The Journey of Life has Wonderful Discoveries...🕊💖

My Mom who just turned 91 years old and is currently in a Rehab after a health scare and pacemaker procedure.  She will most likely have to use assisted oxygen for the rest of her life.
I just found out that my mother is a quiet fighter.  She was in ICU for a week and another week as a regular patient...and worried about ever walking again.  At the rehab she used a walker and wheelchair.  Yesterday she got up and went to the bathroom without her walker.   She is ALWAYS dressed and ready for her PT exercises and tells me stories of other patients who are doing much better than when they arrived.  We wanted her to go home a week earlier but she insisted on staying to get the full measure of Rehab, get stronger and walk independently.
I can safely say that my fighting spirit for strength and survival came in part from my mother!
Her Rehab is close to my home so I am able to walk there daily and I have gotten closer to my mother and it feels wonderful!)
I have learnt patience and understanding for both my mother and my father (who is 93 and goes to the hospital and Rehab every day, still ride his bike, grocery shop...).
I am practicing love, patience and understanding for my self and I am happy that I did that in time to extend it to others including my parents...it's a wonderful feeling!
